Dans les années 90, Lauryn Hill explose grâce à des hits mythiques comme "Ready or Not" et "Killing Me Softly With His Song" avec le groupe The Fugees.
C'est le 25 août 1998 qu'arrive son premier et unique album solo "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill". La diva s'impose à cette époque comme la chanteuse RnB incontournable grâce aux perles "Doo Wop (That Thing)", "To Zion", "Ex-Factor" et "Everything is Everything".
Depuis quelques jours, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" est certifié disque de diamant par la Recording Industry Association of America. Bravo à Lauryn Hill pour cette superbe récompense.
